How Should Recyclable Materials Be Set Out?

Deffenbaugh makes it easy for homeowners, even those with a high volume of recycling material, to implement a recycling program with their flexible approach towards secondary recycling bins. Deffenbaugh provides the initial recycling bin to homeowners at no cost. Should homeowners need more than one recycling bin, they can opt to purchase an additional green recycling bin from Deffenbaugh for $12, which they will deliver. Alternatively, homeowners can use their own containers, including trash barrels. These containers need to be well marked with "RECYCLING" or the universal recycling symbol .

  • Recyclables can be commingled loosely in the recycling bin
  • Corrugated cartons should be cut or reduced to 2’ X 2' and placed under the recycling bin
  • All containers should be thoroughly rinsed
  • Labels are okay
