About the Program <<
How Your School Can Make a Difference
The One Earth, One Chance School Recycling Program is open to any public or private elementary, middle/junior, or high school that has the desire to raise awareness about recycling and the environment.
Here’s How it Works
Deffenbaugh’s One Earth, One Chance School Recycling Program is simple, straightforward and easy for schools to implement.
Deffenbaugh will …
- Provide recycling containers for your school parking lot, which collects paper (newspapers, magazines, office paper, etc.), aluminum and plastic (#1 - #7)
- Empty the recycling containers on an every other week basis and provide the school with a report outlining the quantity of tons collected
- Provide materials to assist in educating participants about the program
Win, Win, Win
Parents, students, faculty, and the greater community can easily recycle their used paper, plastic (#1 - #7) and aluminum at your school!
- Kids will learn more about recycling;
- Valuable resources will have a new life;
- Numerous tons of recyclable material will be diverted from area landfills
How Communities Can Support the Program
Local residents can utilize the recycling bins for their recycling needs, which will help create a more sustainable community. Following is a partial list of what can and cannot be included in the co-mingled recycling bins:
